CHURCH SOUVENIR
Commemorating the Dedication - St. Thomas Mar Thoma
Church of Delaware Valley
It is decided to publish a SOUVENIR commemorating the dedication of our new
church property at 130 Grubb Road, Malvern in the picturesque Willistown
Township of Chester County. The proposed souvenir will be a magazine-sized
publication in both black & white and color, which will find access to wide
audience in various communities in North America, Europe and Asia.
Advertisements/Compliments Campaign:
We prayerfully invite your participation to campaign for advertisements
and/or compliments from your relatives, friends, business houses and/or
entrepreneurs, who are generous enough to extend a helping hand towards
achieving our minimum target of $150,000.00 for the souvenir. Collect copies
of the Souvenir Brochures from Mr. Mathews T. Mathews, Convener - Souvenir &
Public Relations.
You are requested to complete the order form and send with full payment
(checks to be drawn in favor of St. Thomas Mar Thoma Church of Delaware
Valley) as per the advertisement tariff, along with the respective
advertisement materials, and original photos to the attention of the
Convener. If advertisers choose to send an electronic format kindly e-Mail
that to: mathewsquare@aol.com. Your valuable contributions will be the
corner stone to a renovated and rejuvenated worship service in this quaint
Malvern suburb.
Articles, Short Stories, Poems, Jokes:
Parishioners are requested to submit Christian themed articles, Short
Stories, Poems, Jokes as per the guidelines given below to be included in
this treasured souvenir.
Essay Competition:
The topic "My Heritage in a Multicultural Society" is open for all Youth
Members and Sunday School students. Two best essays, adjudged by the
literary panel will be published in the Souvenir. All essayists are reminded
to avoid plagiarisms.
Souvenir Cover Design:
The closing date is extended. Present a proposed Cover Design for the
Souvenir before April 12, 2008.
Guidelines for Submission of Materials…
• Please provide your full name, age, contact information and a personal
introduction
• Works will be categorized into three groups, based on Age – Children /
Youth / Adult
• Works can be in either of the two languages – English / Malayalam
• Four kinds of works can be submitted. They are Articles, Short Stories,
Poems and Jokes
• Articles & Essay : approximately 1000 words, but not more than 2000 words
• Short stories : approximately 500 words, but not more than 750 words
• Poems : not more than 24 lines
• Jokes : single line, or few sentences, but should not exceed 200 words
• All submitted items will be screened/edited for Christian value, content
and quality of presentation
